The Soul of Yaloma Swim
Yaloma is not just a swimwear brand. It is a declaration of independence. A refined blend of cultures. A celebration of freedom in all its splendor. Reunion Island resonates in every creation — this island where raw elegance meets the spiritual richness of diverse influences.
The Origin of the Name
Maloya is resistance that dances. Born in the sugarcane fields, this song of revolt whispers emancipation, identity, and memory. Listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, it embodies the quiet strength of a standing people.
Choosing this name was a way to honor my roots. Yaloma was born from it — a reversed nod to Maloya.
The Turning Point
April 2024. Sometimes, an idea springs from inner silence. During a sabbatical in Reunion Island, I reconnected with my essence. It wasn’t just a trip: it was a rebirth. One morning, facing the ocean under the warmth of a familiar sun, the truth struck me. Yaloma had to exist. On the land of my ancestors, I felt the alignment. A “Re-Union” of the soul. A clear vision. A rebirth.
The Birth of a Brand
September 2024, the project comes to life. Creating a swimwear brand that speaks to all women — a bold yet necessary challenge. I don’t come from this world, and yet I poured into it all my expertise, my vision, my truth. With over ten years in fashion, I designed a brand that reflects who I am: elegant, bold, timeless. In January 2025, the first prototypes came to life. Yaloma is ready.
A Vision for Women
Yaloma celebrates exceptional women. Each design carries the name of a woman who inspires me — strong, free, whole. These creations are not meant to conceal, but to reveal. High-waisted cuts that sculpt, adjustable straps that embrace the body, fabrics both durable and soft on the skin. Swimsuits that enhance without constraint. Created for those who don’t fit into any box — and who don’t need to create one to exist.
About the Designer
Nothing predestined me to become a designer, certainly not a business owner. And yet, by following my instincts, everything fell naturally into place. It was on Reunion Island, where I come from, that Yaloma was born.
For over 13 years, I have been navigating the fashion world: first as a makeup artist, then a nail artist, before stepping in front of the camera as a model. This immersion gave me an intimate understanding of the industry, its backstage, and its codes — from runway shows to art direction, including campaign organization. I learned on the ground, at the very heart of creation.
Over time, a quest for meaning became essential. Sensitive, spiritual, and deeply connected to nature, I felt the need to create differently — with more alignment, freedom, and awareness.
I founded Yaloma Swim to honor Women in their entirety, with a holistic vision of swimwear: inclusive, creative, and responsible. A fashion that celebrates the body as much as the soul and the spirit.
This is an adventure that brings together everything that drives me: beauty, travel, freedom, and the will to do things with intention.
Remember, you are exactly where you are meant to be... So trust yourself !
